Day 6 - Halifax, Nova ScotiaHalifax, capital of Nova Scotia, has considerable charms. The beautifully restored waterfront buildings recall the city's centuries-old maritime heritage. Halifax is also the gateway to Nova Scotia's picturesque landscapes and rugged natural beauty. A functioning port and busy tourist destination, Halifax Harbor boasts the second largest natural harbor in the world. Along the boardwalk, there are eateries, shops and museums, even a casino.
Day 7 - Saint John, New BrunswickCanada's oldest settlement is the gateway to the scenic wonders of New Brunswick, which remains remarkably unspoiled with 85 percent of the province still unsettled with vast expanses of forests, hills, streams, and a spectacular coastline dotted by historic and charming towns.
Day 8 - Bar Harbor, MaineOn the east side of Maine's Mt. Desert Island and surrounded by Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor is a beautiful coastal port, and it is said to be one of the most beautiful spots in North America. Enjoy the scenic views of the coastline and take one of the whale-watching expeditions, which depart from Harbor Place several times a day, next to the Town Pier. In addition to a lobster museum, there's a working lobster hatchery that offers a fascinating look into the life of lobsters.
Day 9 - Boston, MassachusettsHailed as the Cradle of American Independence, Boston has been described as the "Athens of America." Today this city of 600,000 retains its spirit, combining historic districts with revitalized urban centers all the while remaining faithful to its venerable roots. Follow the famed Freedom trail, and you'll appreciate the city's role in American history. A line of red bricks embedded in the pavement marks the trail route - three of the most historic miles in the U.S.
Day 10 - Newport, Rhode IslandA thriving seaport in colonial days, then a summer playground for wealthy 19th-century families, Newport, Rhode Island, lies on the north-east coast of the United States, just south of Boston and north of New York City. Newport has some splendid historic mansions, a lovely harbour and rustic natural beaches close to town, making it the perfect base for those who enjoy sailing, swimming and long walks. The city’s cobblestone streets and charming wharves are lined with boutiques and galleries.
Day 11 - Arrive New YorkArrive New York 0715 and disembark after breakfast.
