The Calgary Stampede is the crown jewel of the rodeo world. The worlds best rodeo athletes and Calgary Stampede stock compete head to head for eight days leading into Wildcard Saturday and Showdown Sunday – the biggest one day prize in pro rodeo. Six major events – Bareback, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling and Tie-Down Roping are the backbones of the Stampede rodeo. Add in Novice bareback, Novice Saddle Bronc, Junior Steer Riding and Wild Pony Racing for the youngsters and you have the best rodeo in the world.
