Vancouver Train to Kamloops 

From Pacific Central Station in Vancouver you meander through the lush and furtile lands of British Columbia, from the Fraser Valley where you are left to marvel at the spectacular peaks that make up the Coast Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon, part of the Fraser Fault. You’ll see the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate, with towering 1000 foot rock walls. With stunning vistas of the Thompson River you will continue on towards the historic dity of Kamloops and deeper into Thompson Country, gateway to the Interior of British Columbia. You will enjoy the overnight stop in Kamloops.

Kamloops Train to Banff or Calgary

The Rocky Mountaineer continues onwards east giving wonderous views of the South Thompson River and pass Craigellachie. Rising up to 1300m at Rogers Pass, a high mountain pass in the Selkirk Mountains, you will be amazed; With seemingly endless tunnels and unbelievable views of the Glaciers nearby, it's one of the highlights of the tour.
