Vancouver, Alaska Cruise & Seattle
This 14 night tour will visit Cosmopolitan Vancouver and Stunning Seattle with an exclusive Alaska cruise sailing from Vancouver to Seattle on the 14th May, takes you north along the famed Inside Passage to Alaska, sure to leave you breathless with some of the most spectacular scenery in the World.
Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver
On arrival make your way to downtown for two nights at the fantastic Century Plaza Hotel.
Located downtown Vancouver, only 4 blocks to Robson St shopping and 5 blocks to the trendy boutiques and fabulous dining of Yaletown's converted warehouse district. This hotel offers 236 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites.
Day 2 - Vancouver
Day at Leisure - Free to enjoy Vancouver's Fabulous Shopping, have a coffee at the cities famous harbour or search for a bargain at the Granville Island Markets. You could also travel up Grouse Mountain for spectacular views over the city, on a clear day you can see as far as Seattle!!
Day 3 - Vancouver
Day at Leisure in this Fantastic city. Spend the day exploring the city. You may wish to take an optional tour to Victoria, visit the local attractions or walk along the Sea Wall.
Day 4 - Alaska Cruise
Make your way to Canada Place cruise terminal and embark on the 5* Golden Princess for your 7 night Alaska Cruise, including all meals.
Sails at 1630.
Day 5 - At Sea
A full day at sea relaxing at sea onboard the luxurious 5* Golden Princess.
Day 6 - Juneau
Perched on a thin strip of land at the mouth of Gold Creek, Juneau is arguably one of America's most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop.
Day 7 - Skagway
Few one-time boomtowns retain the flavour of the gold rush days like Skagway. This gateway to the Klondike is preserved as a national historic park with its rustic boardwalk and frontier-style storefronts. Due to its geographic location, Skagway enjoys a drier climate compared to the rest of south-eastern Alaska, with an average annual precipitation of only 22 inches.
Day 8 - Glacier Bay National Park, Cruising
This spectacular national park and preserve displays massive glaciers that stretch 3.3 million acres from the St. Elias and Fairweather mountain ranges to the ends of the fjords. It is home to an amazing world of marine life, including humpback whales, sea otters, porpoises and harbour seals. It also possesses the highest concentration of tidewater glaciers on the planet. And access is extremely limited.
Day 9 - Ketchikan
This southern-most Alaskan port city is known as Alaska's First City because it was the first major community travellers came to heading north. Founded as a fishing camp, Ketchikan is built on steep hillsides and is billed as the salmon capital of the world. A quaint village, the town is just three miles long and three blocks wide.
Day - Victoria
Once a British colonial post, Victoria is full of historic sites, public parks and groomed gardens. Due to its location, this quaint yet sophisticated little seaside city boasts the mildest climate in Canada.
Day 11 - Arrive Seattle
Arrive Seattle at 0700, disembark after breakfast and make your way to the 4* Mayflower Park Hotel, Seattle, room only.
Built in 1927, the Mayflower Park Hotel has been restored with crystal chandeliers, gleaming brass and period antiques. The hotel is ideally located steps away from Seattle’s most exciting attractions, including the famous Pike Place Market, Seattle Waterfront, and Space Needle.
Overnight Seattle.
Day 12 - Seattle
Full day at leisure in Seattle to enjoy the dynamic city at your own pace.
Day 13 - Seattle to Vancouver
Join your scheduled motor coach and transfer to Vancouver. Upon arrival into Vancouver, make your way to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is at your own leisure.
Overnight in Vancouver.
Day 14 - Vancouver
Enjoy Vancouver at your own pace with this final day at leisure.
Day 15 - Depart Vancouver
Make your way to Vancouver Airport for your return flight to the UK.
