Day 1 - Fly to Calgary

7 June 2012 Depart from London for your flight to Calgary.  Upon arrival into Calgary, transfer (own cost) to the 3* Sandman Hotel.  Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight: Calgary

Day 2 - Explore Calgary’s legendary western roots

8 June 2012 Explore Calgary’s legendary western roots and pioneering spirit on your included sightseeing tour that takes you to back in time to Heritage Park and Fort Calgary Heritage Park Historical Village has been recreated into Canada’s largest living museum, complete with costumed townsfolk who are keen to bring history to life. Admission to the world-class Gasoline Alley Museum is included in your tour package. Then immerse yourself in Calgary’s old west with a visit to Fort Calgary; the birthplace of the city. This National Historic Site features an interactive interpretive centre and museum that tells the story of how the North West Mounted Police and early Calgary citizens helped shaped the city into what it is today. Day 3 - Calgary to Lake Louise

9 June 2012 Calgary to Lake Louise - Leave the Stampede City of Calgary on the express service to Lake Louise where you have ample opportunity to take in the sights. Overnight: Lake Louise

Day 4 - Lake Louise to Jasper

10 June 2012 Lake Louise to Jasper
Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 325 sq km’s and reaches a depth of 320 metres. Time allows for an (included) Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier. Along the way stops will be made at Lake Louise, Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of
bear, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy. Please note: the mountain lakes in this region will be just beginning their thaw. Overnight: Jasper

Day 5 - Jasper

11 June  2012 Jasper - Evening wildlife tour
Today is free to explore Jasper before departing this evening to experience the environs of Jasper and for some amazing close-up photo opportunities of wildlife. Destinations can include the Maligne Valley, the Pyramid Bench (with its beaver ponds) and many other unique wildlife or natural splendours. Overnight Jasper

Day 6 - Jasper to Banff

This morning is free to enjoy the sights of Jasper before boarding an express coach to Banff. Overnight Banff

Day 7 - Banff

13 June 2012 Morning tour of Banff
This morning, tour through the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind), Surprise Corner, Sulphur Mountain and Tunnel Mountain Drive - which overlooks the splendour of Bow Valley, . Enjoy the afternoon on your own to explore this charming resort. Overnight Banff

Day 8 - Banff to Calgary

14 June 2012 Banff to Calgary (Coach)
This morning is free to explore Banff, before your scheduled coach to Calgary departs midday. Following the Trans Canada Highway, depart the Rocky Mountains to the Great Central Plains that roll to the east for 2000 kilometres and extend as far south as Mexico. This is ‘cattle ranching country’ and the breadbasket of Canada. Arrive downtown Calgary at 3.00pm Overnight Calgary.

Day 9 - Calgary

15 June 2012 Today is at leisure so you may explore Calgary at your own pace, catch up on your sightseeing, and enjoy the local pioneer spirit. Overnight Calgary

Day 10 - Depart for overnight flight back to the UK
