Canada's Alantic Charm

Atlantic Canada

Get ready to breathe in the fresh, seaside air of Atlantic Canada. Whether you’re exploring the historical monuments, the adorable coastal towns, or the surrounding waters – Canada’s Maritimes is the charming seaside playground that you daydream about escaping to when modern life catches up with you.

Atlantic Canada is made up of four beautiful provinces: Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland & Labrador. Nova Scotia encompasses a unique blend of Scottish, Native, and Acadian cultures - and is home to the laid-back but cosmopolitan city of Halifax. Prince Edward Island is so naturally striking that it has earned the nickname Garden of the Gulf and inspired Anne of Green Gables. New Brunswick is home to black bears and some of Canada’s most magical waterfalls. And Newfoundland & Labrador is one of the world’s finest whale-watching destinations and home to Iceberg Alley.

Wildlife

Despite the province’s differences, there are some things that run through the veins of Atlantic Canada as a whole. Most notably is the wildlife. Atlantic Canada is home to some of the best whale-watching in the world – with the humpback making regular appearances. It’s also home to multiple bird colonies, including the colourful Atlantic Puffin. And we can’t forget to mention the black bears and moose that are regular sights amongst the trees.

Seafood

Seafood fans will able to delight their tastebuds with some of the freshest lobster in the world. Many of the seaside restaurants catch their seafood earlier the same day just a few metres away. And you can book a boat trip to catch your own lobster in the Atlantic Ocean (some tours let you boil it on the beach!). Remember to wash it down with a tipple from one of the local wineries, ciders, or distilleries

Outdoors

You’ll be spoilt for choice with the incredible adventure opportunities. Hiking, walking, kayaking, surfing and cycling are all popular activities across Atlantic Canada.
