Local trains to the Stampede park can be very busy, so make sure you plan your journey in advance. Don’t worry if you miss your train though – they run every ten minutes during the festivities.

4) Dress the Part
A huge element of the magic of the Calgary Stampede is the taking part! Suit up in your very own cowboy boots and hat to be part of the spectacle. Traditional rancher attire can be found around the city and within the Stampede Park
5) Check Out the Attractions
There is more to the stampede than the heart-stopping events. Take some time to wander the length of the park; there are rides, exhibits and entertainment to suit all ages. Definitely check out the Indian Village and the view from the large Ferris wheel.
