Day 1
Vancouver

Day 2
Vancouver

This morning see the sights of Vancouver such as Robson Street, Stanley Park, Totem Poles, Granville Island, the historic Gastown and so much more. Afternoon at leisure. – Overnight – Vancouver

Day 3
Vancouver

Day at leisure. You are free today to enjoy more of this beautiful city with its fabulous shopping, have a coffee at the cities famous harbour or search for a bargain at the Granville Island Markets. You could also travel up Grouse Mountain for a spectacular view over the city. On a clear day you can see as far as Seattle! – Overnight – Vancouver

Day 4
Sun Peaks

Your journey through Western Canada begins with a morning departure from the sights and sounds of downtown Vancouver. The first leg today travels from cityscape, through the lush Fraser delta region and the towering peaks of the Coastal Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Lunch (included) today is at Hell’s Gate located at the crescendo of the mighty Fraser River, Hell’s Gate is nature at its most magnificent. Visitors are amazed to see the sight of white water crashing and churning through the narrow 110 ft (33 m) wide gorge. Continue along the Fraser & Thompson Rivers through spectacular landscapes to historic Kamloops. From Kamloops it’s a short drive to tonight’s destination at Sun Peaks Resort, a cozy European-style alpine village nestled at the centre of the resort’s three mountains. Day 5
Banff

Sample the best of Canada’s natural treasures – Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranges. Travel through Mount Revelstoke National Park, home to old-growth rainforest of alpine meadows rich with wildflowers. Then, enter Glacier National Park and climb over stunning Rogers Pass—keep an eye out for native wildlife such as caribou, mountain goats and grizzly bears. After crossing the Columbia River, arrive in Yoho National Park with its towering waterfalls, ice-clad peaks and a natural bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. Surmount the Continental Divide, and enter Banff National Park where you arrive at your quintessential alpine resort. (Lunch is included today) – Overnight -Banff

Day 6
Banff

This morning, tour the town of Banff and its environs. Among the highlights are visits to the Hoodoos (shaped by centuries of wind) & Bow Valley Viewpoint, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka and Bankhead: an abandoned mining town and relic of Banff’s industrial past. At the end of the tour you will be taken to Banff Gondola for a breathtaking ascent to the pinnacle of Sulphur Mountain for an awe-inspiring 360-degree panorama of sheer mountain majesty. Return to downtown Banff at your leisure. (Transfer not included). – Overnight – Banff

Day 7
Jasper

Travel by coach today via one of the most scenic highways in North America - the Icefields Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield that covers an area of nearly 125 sq mi (325 sq km) and reaches a depth of 1050 ft (320 m). Time allows for an Ice Explorer ride (included) on the Athabasca Glacier, then a stop at the award-winning Glacier Skywalk (included) to experi-ence a glass-floored observation platform 918 ft (280 m) over spectacular glacier-formed valleys and rushing waterfalls. After, continue along the Icefield Parkway where stops will be made at Lake Louise, Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls. This highway is renowned for sightings of bears, elk, moose & mountain sheep, so keep your camera handy. Please note: mountain lakes in this region will be frozen through to mid-June. Day 8
Toronto

Spend the day relaxing in the mountain town of Jasper. This evening board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey across the prairies to Toronto. – Overnight – Onboard the Train Exclusive to Sleeper Touring Class: By day, sit back in comfortable seating and enjoy the comfort of your very own accommodation. In the evening attendants transform your quarters into a cozy bunks or bedroom. Prior to dinner, enjoy complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres in the Dome where you will experience the true essence of travelling by train as a panoramic scene sweeps by. In Sleeper Touring Class some of the amenities include thick towels, plump pillows, cozy down duvets and a shower kit. (dinner is included today)

Toronto

Watch the scenery change as you leave the mountains for the prairies and great plains of Canada. Overnight onboard the train. (breakfast, lunch & dinner is included today)

Toronto

Today is spent crossing the scenic lake lands of northern Ontario. Overnight onboard the train. (breakfast, lunch & dinner is included today)

Take a Journey Behind the falls boat trip, have a meal overlooking the Falls, and take a winery tour with a wine tasting at Niagara on the Lake. – Overnight – Toronto
