Depart the UK and head for Vancouver for your first overnight

Two full days in the vibrant city of Vancouver - explore the city at your own pace. Popular attractions include Gastown, Chinatown, Granville Square, Stanley Park and the Robson Street Shopping District.  Take a day trip to Whistler or Vancouver Island.  Head up Grouse Mountain and try the Capilano Suspension Bridge.  Try some of the amazing seafood, do a foodie tour or a brewery tour; there are so many different ways to explore this city.

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Overnight in Kamloops.

Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranch lands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends in the mountain hamlet of Lake Louise or the town of Banff.  Overnight Banff

Explore this beautiful mountain resort nestled at the foot of Sulphur Mountain with its many unique shops, quaint coffee shops, and restaurant’s. Make sure you ride the Banff Gondola   to the top of the mountain for stunning 360 degree views over the Bow Valley below.  Take a trip to Lake Louise, one of the most iconic photos ops in Canada, wander the town, check out all the restaurants and breweries.

Take your included transfer today from Banff to Calgary Airport where you will catch your flight to Toronto.  Overnight in downtown Toronto.

Two full days to experience the sights of Canada’s largest and most diverse city. We recommend you take a City Tour – highlights include: The Eaton Centre, Chinatown, CN Tower and Old and New City Hall’s with lots of photo opportunities. There is an optional drop off at the Harbour for a boat tour (prices available on request). Overnight: Toronto
