Travel through the highlights of Canada from east to west, passing rolling prairies, to pastoral eastern countryside, from Rocky Mountains to Pacific Coast . This tour offers up Canada’s top cities, untouched mountain scenery, and overnights onboard the famous Via Rail Canadian train.
Arrive at the Toronto International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel.
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour through the scenic Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls. Highlights of the tour include a lunch buffet overlooking the falls, and the “Journey Behind the Falls” attraction. Continue on along River Road and the Niagara Gorge to the historic community of Niagara-on- the-Lake before returning to Toronto. (Lunch is included today)
This evening, check in at Toronto’s Union Station and board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey across the prairies to the Canadian Rockies. Travel back in time to the days of classic rail travel. The original stainless steel ‘streamliner’ railcars, made famous by the ‘Canadian’ in the 1950’s, are totally refurbished with air conditioning, a café car, lounge car, and access to the dome car.

This morning awake to arrive in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, after a brief stop continue on for the final leg of your rail journey to Jasper. This small alpine community located in the majestic Canadian Rockies will be home for the next three nights. (breakfast is included today)
Join a sightseeing excursion (included) to Jasper’s lesser known gems, and search for wildlife along the way. Moose, elk, sheep, goats and wolves are commonly sighted in Jasper National Park. Following the tour, the remainder of your day is free to enjoy the alpine town of Jasper.inner is included today)
Enjoy a free day in Jasper. Many activities are available including walking trails, shopping, and dining, or you may choose to book a winter excursion through the concierge at your hotel. This evening experience the wonders of Maligne Canyon from the ground up! The canyon has withstood 10,000 years of erosion and has created a 50m gorge. Certified guides will lead groups of no more than 12 along the frozen canyon floor and its ice-clad
limestone walls. Super soles and winter boots will keep you warm and secure as you explore this wonderland of rock and ice. Please note: The ice walk tour normally operates mid-December - mid-April
Spend the morning relaxing in the mountain town of Jasper before boarding VIA Rail Sleeper Touring Class to Vancouver. Leaving Jasper National Park, travel the ‘Yellowhead’ route past the sprawling grandeur of Mount Robson, then follow the mighty Thompson River all the way to the Fraser Valley and the coastal city of Vancouver.
Arrival in Vancouver at 9.30am. Explore this metropolitan city, situated on the shores of the Pacific Ocean on an Attractions Trolley Hop on/Hop Off tour (included). Day at leisure to enjoy Vancouver’s fabulous shopping, have a coffee at the cities famous harbour or search for a bargain at the Granville Island Markets. You could also take a trip up Grouse Mountain for spectacular views over the city, on a clear day you can see as far as Seattle! Overnight: Vancouver
Today you will take a tour of Vancouver which begins with an introduction to downtown including Canada Place, and Robson Street. Wind through historic and modern architectural wonders en route to Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre natural oasis, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. View the First Nations Totem Poles, and gaze upon rainforest and shoreline scenery on the way through the park. Get the camera ready for a photo stop at Prospect Point, with a great view of Lions Gate Bridge. Continue to the English Bay beach area, followed by the eclectic Granville Island Market. Top off this adventure with a glass elevator ride 169 metres above the streets, at the Vancouver Lookout, for views of the ocean, the Coastal Mountains, the city and rugged shoreline. This tour is a great introduction to the scenic and historic highlights of Vancouver.
