Day 1 – Wood Islands/Charlottetown

After you arrive Prince Edward Island at Wood Islands ferry terminal, pick up your hire car and being your exploration. We suggest you follow the Points East Coastal Drive along the southwest tip of Prince Edward Island. This scenic route takes you through a wide variety of scenery; rich, rolling farmland, sandy beaches, charming villages and quaint harbours. After taking a number of photo stops, continue to Charlottetown – the capital of Prince Edward Island. After checking in to your hotel, we suggest you spend your evening taking a 2.5 hr. Lobster Cruise, ending with traditional PEI lobster supper aboard a fishing boat. Smell the salt air, feel the gentle breeze against your face and indulge in the freshest seafood you’ve ever tasted. Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 2 – Charlottetown

This morning, enjoy a walking tour of historic Charlottetown (included). Retrace the steps of the Fathers of Confederation as you explore the streets with your knowledgeable local guide. Make sure you visit Founders Hall and take a peek inside Victoria Row, where ‘Anne of the Green Gables: The Musical’ has been entertaining audiences for almost 50 years. If time permits, we recommend visiting Fort Amherst-Port-La-Joye National Historic Site, a quaint fishing village with a colourful history and new artisans reviving its ancient culture. Activities here can include crafts, theatre and kayaking – something to suit all tastes. Why not finish your day at the Charlottetown Race Way – an age-old Charlottetown tradition. Day 3 – Charlottetown

This morning we suggest you take a ‘Taste of the Town’ walking tour – this is the perfect activity for foodies and history buffs alike. Take a leisurely stroll through Charlottetown and sample some local delights as you go, meeting the purveyors that so passionately make them. Later, why not take a drive to Prim Point and try your hand at clam digging? A tradition for hundreds of years, your expert guide will share tips and tricks with you to help you dig out the very best. Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 4 – Charlottetown/Dalvay Bay

Today we suggest you visit Cavendish, the setting of the acclaimed novel Anne of the Green Gables’. Take some time to explore the scenery that Lucy Maud Montgomery found so inspiring. Be sure to visit the many sites that pay tribute to everyone’s favourite red-haired heroine, and to buy some themed merchandise! Suggested stops are Avonlea - the village of Anne of Green Gables - and the spectacular Green Gables L.M. Montgomery’s Cavendish National Historic Site. Once you have explored these locations, continue on your journey and arrive in Dalvay Bay. Overnight in Dalvay Bay.

Day 5 – Dalvay Bay

Today you can continue along the Green Gables Shore to visit Anne of Green Gables Museum in Park Corner. En route, stop at Indian River and view the dramatic church of St. Mary. Later, continue on to Kensington and visit the old stone railway station – a National Historic Site that is packed full of photo opportunities. We suggest you spend your afternoon in Summerside. Rich in heritage, the stately homes gracing the downtown were once home to many a wealthy shipbuilder. Also visit Spinnakers' Landing – this picturesque harbour is home to a lively boardwalk which provides visitors with the opportunity to shop and dine beside the ocean. Overnight Dalvay Bay.

Day 6 – Dalvay Bay/Spry Point

Today you will depart Dalvay Bay and spend some time exploring the north of the Points East Coastal Drive. A great first stop is St. Peter’s Bay, as it is full of shopping, dining and entertainment options. After refuelling, drive along to Greenwich National Park to gaze in awe at the enchanting sand dunes and visit the world-famous East Point Lighthouse. Your journey today will end in Spry Point and its beautiful surroundings. Lush green fields, red cliffs and dazzling sandy beaches provide the perfect landscape for outdoor adventure, from hiking to birding. If you would like to take some time to unwind, simply relax on your balcony with a glass of wine and take in the views that surround you. This is the stuff that dreams are made of. Overnight in Spry Point.

Day 7 – Spry Point

Today is your last full day on the beautiful Prince Edward Island, so take some time to drink in your surroundings at leisure. Perhaps venture a little further along the eastern coastline and take a tour of the Rossignol Estate Winery in Little Sands or head to Montague, a quaint town built on the banks of the river. Overnight in Spry Point.

Day 8 – Spry Point

Today you will wave goodbye to Spry Point as you embark on your onward journey, either to further explore Canada or to fly back to the UK.
