Discover the incredible natural wonder and sensational landscapes of Canada and Alaska as you travel across North America on an unforgettable rail, cruise and land holiday. Arriving in Calgary, you’ll transfer to the western-style Canadian town of Banff to join Rocky Mountaineers 5 night Coastal Passage tour through the Majestic Rocky Mountains en-route to Seattle. It is here that you will embark the Emerald Princess for a seven night awe inspiring Alaska cruise calling at the wondrous ports such as Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, before sailing to Victoria in British Columbia and disembarking your cruise in Seattle. Your holiday will continue with a three night stay in the emerald city with an included harbour cruise before flying home to the UK.

Day 1

Fly direct from the UK to Calgary. Transfer to the mountain town of Banff where you will join the 5 night Coastal Passage tour with Rocky Mountaineer.

Day 2

Travel on-board the Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf service from Banff to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia. Your journey takes you through wondrous arrays of scenery as you travel between the glacier and the snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Over mountain passed and through phenomenal tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch land of the interior. Todays highlights include the Continental divide, the spiral tunnels, Kicking horse canyon, Rogers pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops .

Day 3

Your Journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see thrilling changes in scenery, from the desert like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the rich green fields of Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and the rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hells Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening where you will stay for 2 nights.

Day 4

Spend the day at leisure in Vancouver, or join today's optional excursion to beautiful Vancouver Island and the unashamedly 'British' provincial capital of British Columbia, charming Victoria. Explore the vast Parliament Buildings and grand Empress Hotel, and visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, boasting over a million plants including several hundred floral species

Day 5

Travel on-board Rocky Mountaineers Coastal Passage route from Vancouver to the gateway to the Pacific Northwest, the ‘Emerald City’ of Seattle. After boarding, toast to the voyage ahead and indulge in a delectable hot breakfast as you cross the mighty Fraser River and depart Vancouver. Highlights include the community of white Rock as the train hugs the Pacific Coast, views of Bellingham Bay and the San Juan Islands beyond, the fields at the foot of the Cascade Mountains near Mount Vernon, the fishing fleet (and Boeing jets) of Everett, and unique view of the Chittenden Locks linking Puget Sound to Lakes Union and Washington as the train nears Seattle. Upon arrival in Seattle transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6

Embark on 7 Night Emerald Princess Alaska Cruise.

Day at Sea. Alaska is renowned as one of America’s most awe-inspiring regions, where breath-taking landscape and alluring ports combine to create an unforgettable setting. From vast expanses of scenic wilderness and an abundance of unique wildlife, to historic landmarks and fun-filled outdoor pursuits, this beautiful corner of North America has plenty to offer all types of travellers.

Seattle is brimming with great cultural experiences and famous landmarks to experience, including the majestic Space Needle, which offers amazing views for all those who climb to the top. Whilst here you will enjoy an included harbour cruise to take in the views of this amazing city from a unique vantage point.

Day 16

Transfer to the airport for your direct flight back to the UK.
