Day 1: UK to Vancouver

Upon arrival into Vancouver Airport, make your way independently to your overnight hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Vancouver

The day is yours to discover the coastal city of Vancouver. Canada’s third-largest metropolitan centre. Vancouver is a busy port with a multi-cultural ambiance. The spectacular setting invites you outdoors: explore the restaurants, shopping, galleries and museums, nightlife, entertainment and more.

Day 3: Vancouver

Why not give your Vancouver stay a twist with a 2 hour walking tour of Granville Island (not included), Canada’s second most visited destination for lovers of food, art and culture. During the tour you will eat your way through the world-famous Public Market and hear intriguing stories, culture and history behind the tasty creations. This is a truly authentic way to experience Vancouver.

Day 4: Rocky Mountaineer Rail Journey Vancouver to Kamloops

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer Rail Journey Kamloops to Banff

Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies. Today’s highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends in the mountain hamlet of Lake Louise or the resort town of Banff

Day 6

Full day to explore this beautiful mountain town. Why not take a trip to the top of Sulphur Mountain on the Banff Gondola for amazing views. (Not included)

Day 7

 Banff – Discover Lake Louise & Morraine Lake

Afternoon sightseeing your where you will visit the “Jewel of the Canadian Rockies”, Lake Louise & the world renowned Moraine Lake – both are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you will have time to take photos and explore their shorelines, walk to a viewpoint in the Valley of Ten Peaks overlooking Moraine Lake.

Day 8

Today you will transfer by motorcoach to Calgary ‘The Stampede City’ where you will spend one night.
