Day 1

Arrive and spend time exploring Seattle's waterfront, Pike Place Market, and the Space Needle on your own. Overnight in Seattle

Day 2

Enjoy the morning in Seattle. Board at Seattle's King Street station for your rail journey to Vancouver. Enjoy dinner and take in the evening views of the Pacific Northwest as you travel between the USA and Canada. Highlights include the Chittenden Locks linking Puget Sound to Lake Union and Lake Washington, the fishing fleet (and Boeing jets) of Everett, views of the Cascade Mountains and numerous photo opportunities as the train hugs the coastline. Disembark at the Pacific Central Station in Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver

Day 3

Your sightseeing tour of the North Shore includes admission to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Overnight in Vancouver

Day 4

Spend the entire day exploring Vancouver on your own. Included is admission to the Vancouver Lookout. Overnight in Vancouver

Day 5

After boarding at the Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver Station, travel through the fertile fields of the Fraser Valley. Farmland gives way to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before the rumble of raging waters hail the arrivals of Hell's Gate. Piney forests turn into the abstract beauty of dusty desert hills as you pull in to spend the night in Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops

Day 6

Continue your journey through a changing landscape. Rolling hills morph into snowy peaks before Pyramid Falls tumbles out of its hanging valley and falls 92 metes into the North Thompson River. The glittering Albreda Icefields and glorious Mount Robson mark the entry into the World Heritage Site of Jasper. Overnight in Jasper

Day 7
Lake Louise

Travel along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise by motorcoach. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield, where you will ride on an Ice Explorer. Afterwards, a brief stop will be made at Bow Lake. Overnight at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

Day 8

Enjoy the morning at leisure. After lunch, a motorcoach tour takes you into Yoho National Park. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake, and a natural rock bridge. The tour ends in Banff. Overnight in Banff

Day 9

Your morning is free. Enjoy a half-day tour of Bow Falls, the Banff Gondola (admission included), Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner, and the Hoodoos. Overnight in Banff

Day 10

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 11

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight in Vancouver.
