Day 1: Fly UK to Vanouver

Arrive into Vancouver and enjoy a two night stay in a centrally located downtown hotel.

Enjoy your time in this unique city, surrounded by water on one side and mountains on the other, Vancouver offers something for everyone. Spend an afternoon browsing the vibrant, bustling markets of Granville Island, or take a leisurely stroll around Stanley Park (don't forget to stop for a photograph with the famous Totem Poles!).

Day 2: Vancouver

Enjoy a day of leisure in Vancouver as part of this 6 night itinerary.

Day 3: Rocky Mountaineer - Vancouver to Kamloops

Today you will begin your two day rail journey through the Canadian Rockies, on board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer Train. You will travel in the luxury of Silverleaf Service enjoying the breathtaking views through oversized windows and delicious hot meals served to you at your seat.

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. On today's journey you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade mountains,to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer travels along the shores of Kamloops Lake and into Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops.

Day 4: Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops to Banff

Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Once again you will see a spectacular array of scenery as you travel across ranchlands, along rocky lake shores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the Canadian Rockies.Today's highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, the climb over Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and, of course, the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Your rail journey ends in the resort town of Banff.

Day 5: Banff

This beautiful mountain town is found nestled in the foothills of the mighty Canadian Rockies. Banff offers fantastic opportunities for wildlife spotting and taking in the unrivaled scenery that is so unique to the Canadian Rockies. After spending the day exploring these breathtaking surroundings you can spend your evenings relaxing in one of the town's many fantastic bars and restaurants.

Day 6: Fly back to the UK

Today a coach transfer has been arranged to take you to Calgary Airport in time for your overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 7: Arrive UK

Arrive back in the UK at your chosen UK airport to end your 6 night tour of the Canadian Rockies.
