Northern Lights of the Yukon
This 4-night itinerary will introduce you to an opportunity you have always dreamed of; the chance to view the magnificent Northern Lights. Yukon is universally known as one of the best places in the world to view the Aurora Borealis and this incredible holiday will allow you to witness them dancing across the sky over and over again. The striking landscape also offers the opportunity to try out the most exhilarating winter sports; alternatively, your comfortable hotel will provide all the rest and relaxation you desire after a late-night gazing at the skies. Make sure you pack a camera; these are memories you will want to relive over and over again.

On arrival into the airport you will be greeted by a local guide who will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel*. Once you have checked in you will receive an orientation meeting describing exactly what to expect during your stay. The rest of the day is yours at leisure until your first evening viewing of the Aurora Borealis. Departing the hotel at 22:00 in groups, you will be taken to a prime viewing area and treated to snacks and hot drinks during your spectacular viewing. The beauty of this array of blues, reds, greens and violets lighting up the night sky with enchant you from your cozy heated cabin or walled tent. You will return to the hotel at approximately 02:30. Overnight in Whitehorse.
Passengers arriving later than 20:30 should take the complimentary Airport shuttle bus to the hotel. As a result, they will miss the first night of Aurora Viewing.
After a leisurely lie in, you will be treated to a tour of the scenic city of Whitehorse on your second day. This former gold rush settlement is set against a stunning backdrop of mountains and is full of fascinating and coloured history. Discover the highlights of this town such as Main Street, the Train Depot of White Pass, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, fish ladders and Schwatka Lake.
On each of the other days, you are free to relax in the warm comfort of the hotel, or book an exhilarating optional activity such as dog sledding, ice fishing or snowshoeing. You will have the unforgettable opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis every evening of your stay, which will always feature a roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, tea & hot chocolate, and the expert knowledge of local guides. Today your incomparable Northern Lights experience comes an end as you check out of your hotel and are transferred to the Whitehorse Airport. From here, you will either continue in your exploration of Canada or return to the UK.
