Day 1 Fly UK to Toronto

Arrive into Pearson International Airport, Toronto. Transfer independently to your centrally-located hotel.  After a check-in with your tour director, the remainder of the day is free.  Overnight: Toronto

Day 2: Toronto/Niagara Falls Excursion

Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Toronto and discover the many cultures of Canada’s most cosmopolitan city.  Then, travel to the splendour of Niagara Falls through the lush fruit-growing district of the Niagara Peninsula and historic village of Niagara on the Lake.  Included with your tour is a thrilling boat ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises – Voyage to the Falls, taking you right to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls.  Overnight: Toronto

Day 3: Toronto to Montebello

Departing early, enjoy a pleasant drive east. Following the north shore of Lake Ontario, you will pass endless miles of rolling farmland and the small townships of eastern Ontario, and French colonial legacy of the many small communities is evident.  You arrive in the stunning rock-faced, riverside town of Montebello.  Overnight: In Montebello

Day 4: Montebello/Ottawa Excursion

After breakfast, embark on a day trip to Canada’s national Capital of Ottawa.  The towering Neo-gothic spires of Parliament are reflected in the wide canals that wind through the centre of the city.  You will also visit Omega Park on the way back to Montebello, a wildlife preserve that is home to some of Canada’s most unique animals.  Overnight: Montebello

Day 5: Montebello to Saint-Alecis-Des-Monts

This morning you  depart Montebello for Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts as you travel farther up the St. Lawrence Seaway before turning north outside Montreal and continuing into the Quebec heartland.  Before long, you will arrive at Hotel Sacacomie, nestled in the Laurentian Mountains.  Overnight: Saint-Alexis-de-Monts.

Day 6: Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts

Renown as the ideal outdoor adventure lodge, Hotel Sacacomie offers a wide variety of activities for all guests.  Quiet forest walks, lazy afternoons on the private beach, canoeing help create the perfect resort experience. Overnight: Saint-Alexis-des-Monts

Day 7: Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts to La Malbaie

Leave behind the fond memories of Hotel Sacacomie and travel through the beautiful Charlevoix regions of Quebec. Historically a land of plentiful timber, mineral and water resources, the Charlevoix region has experienced a rebirth as an idyllic woodland gateway region. You arrive at the town of La Malbaie, one of Canada’s first vacation resorts.  Overnight: La Malbaie

Day 8: La Malbaie

Today you will visit the picturesque town of Tadoussac and take part in an exciting whale watching excursion.  Marvel as the boat comes up beside these leviathans of the deep as they play, feed and socialize only a few metres away!  Overnight: La Malbaie

Day 9: La Malbaie to Quebec City

Depart for historic Quebec City after breakfast, making a stop at Canyon St. Anne.  The canyon boasts the 74m high Saint-Anne waterfall, its rushing waters rumbling into a 1.2 billion year old rock cauldron at its base. The canyon features the highest pedestrian bridge in Quebec, measuring an incredible height of 55m. In the afternoon you will arrive at Quebec City for a tow night stay.  Overnight: Quebec City

Day 10: Quebec City

Today you will go on a fascinating sightseeing tour of the old and modern sections of Quebec.  As North America’s oldest fortified city, this tour offers a unique glimpse back into Canada’s turbulent colonial past. You will tour within the walls of the old city and view Lower Town, the Citadel, Battlefields Park and the ornate city gates.  You will also take a tour to the Traditional Huron Site to discover the history and culture of the Huron people of the past and of today in an authentic recreation of a Quebec Indian village.  Overnight: Quebec City

Day 11: Quebec City to Montreal

Today’s scenic drive takes you through the fertile plains and rolling hills of the Mauricie/Bois-Francs and Lanaudiere regions en route to the forests and unspoiled scenery of Lac a la Truite.  In the afternoon you will arrive at Montreal. Overnight: Montreal

Day 12: Montreal

Montreal is one of the art and culture centres of Canada, boating a long and coloured history that celebrates both its British and French heritage. On a city tour, you will see Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Montreal, the Olympic site, the Biodrome and Mount Royal Park.  Overnight: Montreal

Day 13: Montreal

Today is a rest day, to do as you please.  Overnight: Montreal

Day 14: Canada & New England Cruise

Embark on a 7 night Canada & New England Cruise onboard Holland America line ms Maasdam. St. Lawrence River cruising

Day 15: Quebec City

Day 16: Cruising the Gulf of St. Lawrence

Day 17: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Day 18: Sydney, Nova Scotia
