This 8 night Self Drive tour takes you north from Vancouver to the beautiful Sunshine Coast, along one of the most scenic routes on Canada’s west coast. Drive through virgin forests and coastal fishing villages. Nature abounds on Quadra Island and at Tofino which is located in the Pacific Rim National Park. Wildlife play a large part throughout this tour with plenty of free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful settings.

Upon arrival into Vancouver International Airport, make your way to your Vancouver Hotel, and remainder of the day is at leisure.
This morning your tour begins with an introduction to downtown including Canada Place, and Robson Street. Wind through historic and modern architectural wonders en route to Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre natural oasis, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. View the First Nations Totem Poles, and gaze upon rainforest and shoreline scenery on the way through the park. Get the camera ready for a photo stop at Prospect Point, with a great view of Lions Gate Bridge. Continue to the English Bay beach area, followed by the eclectic Granville Island Market. Top off this adventure with a glass elevator ride 169 metres above the streets, at the Vancouver Lookout, for views of the ocean, the Coastal Mountains, the city and rugged shoreline. This tour is a great introduction to the scenic and historic highlights of Vancouver.
Pick up your hire car and begin your amazing journey along the Sunshine Coast. Depart Vancouver for Horseshoe Bay and sail for 45 minutes on BC Ferries to the Sunshine Coast. At Langdale disembark the ferry and drive the stunningly scenic route through forests and coastal fishing villages to your overnight accommodation at West Coast Wilderness Resort.

Today, travel north to Earls Cove for a 50-minute BC Ferries ride to Saltery Bay, continue following the coast to Powell River to board another BC Ferries service across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Continue north to Campbell River and your destination on Quadra Island
By Zodiac, cruise through breathtaking Desolation Sound and enjoy the majesty of Toba Inlet to seek out Black Bears in their natural habitat (included).
Depart Quadra Island on a short BC ferry ride back to Vancouver Island and head south-west to Tofino where you will arrive around mid-afternoon
You may wish to walk along the famed Long Beach, with its miles of pristine sandy beach and pounding surf, or explore the rain forests on a selection of well groomed trails. Also today, enjoy a 3-hour whale watch cruise (included) through the Clayoquot Sound, revealing sensational scenery, and wildlife such as Gray Whales, Sea Lions, Porpoises and Killer Whales. The area is also known for its variety of birds, including tufted puffins and resident bald eagles
Travel back to the East Coast of Vancouver Island and head south to Victoria. En-route stops should be made at the artist community of Chemainus, where you can admire the giant murals which adorn the exterior walls throughout the town and Duncan the “City of Totems”.
Today is free to explore Victoria, with its turn-ofthe-century architecture, and British traditions such as high tea and shops full of woolens and china. Admission to the Butchart Gardens is included with it’s 50 acre display of magnificent colour
Leaving Victoria, drive north to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal for a 90-minute ferry ride to Tsawwassen. On-board BC Ferries enjoy the scenery of the Gulf Islands as you cross the Strait of Georgia. From Tsawwassen continue on to Downtown Vancouver, return your hire car and make your way to your overnight hotel.
Check out of your Vancouver hotel and make your way to Vancouver International Airport for your return flight back to the UK
