Depart early on the Denali Star Train by Goldstar Railcar to Talkeetna, best known as
base camp for climbers attempting Mount McKinley and for the stunning views of
this famous mountain. Take a stroll down the main street for river views, local brews
and great eats. (Breakfast is included onboard the train today)
This morning take the Denali Star, the Alaska Railroad’s flagship train, in the Goldstar
Railcar to Denali National Park. The afternoon is open for optional activities such as
white water rafting down the Nenana River, helicopter flightseeing over the park,
land on a glacier, or hiking. (Lunch is included onboard the train today)
Overnight: Denali Park Entrance
This full-day narrated coach trip explores the entire 148km /92mi of the restricted
Denali Park Road on your way to the Denali Backcountry Lodge. During your journey
to Denali Backcountry Lodge, your experienced driver-guide will help in the search
for bear, moose, caribou, Dall sheep and other wildlife while pointing out the biology
and geology of the area. There are numerous stops for wildlife viewing, photography
and to stretch your legs and enjoy complimentary snacks. Lunch is included on this
full day journey at the Denali Backcountry Lodge and while at the Lodge you can
take a nature walk or try panning for gold. You will return to the park entrance via a
flightseeing tour in a small bush plane.
Overnight: Denali Park Entrance
Early this morning depart Denali aboard a comfortable motorcoach. The driver will provide narration as you travel on the nationally recognized Parks Highway through Alaska’s spectacular scenery and small historic towns. You will have a layover of approximately 90 minutes in Anchorage so that you can purchase lunch. Continue on to Seward or Whittier along scenic Cook Inlet and Turnagain Arm. Few roads in the United States can offer the diversity of scenic landscapes and unique natural features all concentrated in one area.

Disembark your cruise ship and make your way (independently) to your overnight hotel.
This morning your tour of Vancouver begins with an introduction to downtown including Canada Place, and Robson Street. You will wind through historic and modern architectural wonders en route to Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre natural oasis, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. Viewing the First Nations Totem Poles, and gaze upon rainforest and shoreline scenery on the way through the park. Get your camera ready for a photo stop at Prospect Point, with a great view of the Lions Gate Bridge. Continue to the English Bay beach area, followed by the eclectic Granville Island market. Top off this adventure with a glass elevator ride 169 metres above the streets, at the Vancouver Lookout, for view of the ocean, the Coastal Mountains, the city and rugged shoreline.
Today you will have the morning and afternoon at leisure to continue exploring this wonderful city. In the evening you will climb aboard for a true Vancouver dining experience. Cruise past the magnificent Vancouver skyline, around Stanley Park, past the beaches of English Bay and into the lights sights and sounds of False Creek. While onboard, enjoy live musical entertainment and a West Coast themed buffet. It’s like dining in all of Vancouver’s finest waterfront restaurants in one evening.
After a leisurely breakfasts, check out of your Vancouver Hotel and make your way (independently) to Vancouver Airport and your return flight back to the UK.
