Your tour begins in the historic city of Boston.
Cross the border into Canada and arrive in Montréal. Discover the city on a sightseeing tour highlighting Jacques Cartier Square and McGill University, plus enjoy views of Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Joseph’s Oratory. Your city tour concludes with a stop high atop Mount Royal from which the surrounding view is spectacular. Ascended by Jacques Cartier in 1535, Mount Royal is the jewel of Mount Royal Park. Then, head to your hotel for a 2-night stay.
Today you are free to explore Montréal at your own pace. Or, if you’d like to venture further afield, you can join an optional tour to Quebec City, the capital of Quebec, and take in the sights on a city tour.
Travel south to the province of Ontario – into the National Capital Region – and arrive in Ottawa this afternoon. You’ll savour the flavour of a local speciality – a beavertail – while you enjoy some leisure time to stroll through the Byward Market, known for its fruits, vegetables, flowers and arts & crafts.
Enjoy a tour of the city, passing the Parliament buildings, the National War Memorial, financial district, and the residences of the Governor General of Canada and the Prime Minister on your way to the Rideau River and Rideau Falls. Next, see Parliament up close during a guided tour that explains the history of these breathtaking buildings.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you travel from Ottawa to the thundering and awe-inspiring Niagara Falls. Upon arrival, enjoy some leisure time to explore the lively town at your own pace. Pause for a moment to reflect on the breathtaking views and the power of Mother Nature.
Of course, a visit to Niagara Falls would not be complete without experiencing an incredible cruise at the base of the falls. Board the boat to see and feel the falls up close. This afternoon, travel to the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Delight in some leisure time to browse the local shops and take in the charming atmosphere. Continue to Rockway Vineyards where a wine expert will lead you on a tour of the winery to learn about Canadian icewine. Sample some of the delicious wine before sitting down to dinner with spectacular views of the grounds.
Today’s journey takes us south, back across the U.S. border into New York. Later, arrive in New York City with its wealth of attractions including Liberty Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Chrysler Building and Tiffany’s.
Start your day with a fun-filled breakfast at the famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, a 50s themed restaurant featuring a singing wait staff. Get acquainted with Manhattan on your morning tour, taking in sights such as Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square and Wall Street. This afternoon you are free to do some shopping or perhaps explore New York City independently. This evening it’s Diner’s Choice...your dinner is included and you’ll choose the perfect spot from a “menu” of the city’s popular and exhilarating Times Square locations
This morning it’s another Diner’s Choice...your breakfast is included and you’ll choose the perfect spot from a “menu” of the city’s great restaurants. Then you will journey to Philadelphia and embark on a tour of the “Birthplace of a New Nation” which highlights Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Independence Hall is rich in heritage as the location of both the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the drafting of the Constitution. Continue on to America’s capital city of Washington, D.C. for a 2-night stay.
Begin your day with a guided tour of the city offering wonderful views of its monuments and museums, and the White House. Your first stop will be the White House Visitor Center where you will gain insight into the many transitions this historic residence has undergone. Continue your tour with a stop at the moving World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. Your tour ends with a photo stop at the U.S. Capitol building. Later, you are free to explore the city at your own pace. You may choose to visit the many treasures of the Smithsonian Institution, such as the Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. At dinner, say farewell to your fellow travellers and celebrate your adventure.
