If you are a nature lover you will enjoy every minute of this wildlife experience. Encounter majestic polar bears and belugas in Churchill before flying west to explore the remote West Coast inlets for grizzly bears and orcas, humpbacks and Pacific grey whales. Image the peace and tranquillity as you awaken to the sound of silence from your floating lodge, and see orca break the still waters metres away! This is truly a bucket list experience never to be forgotten!

Upon arrival into Winnipeg Airport, make your way independently to you overnight hotel where you will meet your adventure specialist and your group for a welcome dinner.
Early in the morning, fly to Churchill on Hudson Bay. There you transfer to your onward flight to fly-in only Seal River Heritage Lodge, your home for the next six days. On your way you might see pods of whales, countless birds, caribou and of course, polar bears. The Seal River Estuary is a summer favourite for these magnificent animals and they can often be found swimming or basking on the water’s edge. Upon arrival, you will be introduced to the lodge before you experience the coast on your first afternoon tour.
Enjoy your days filled with outdoor adventures that will take your breath away! Depending on your interests and the weather, you can choose from the activities in the “package includes” list.
Enjoy a hearty lodge breakfast before you fly back to Churchill. Upon your return, the day is free for browsing the shops and exhibits before taking an evening flight to Winnipeg.
Depart Manitoba and take a flight to Vancouver (not included). Upon your arrival, check-in to an airport hotel for your overnight stay.
The second part of your bear and whale adventure begins with you boarding your flight to Port Hardy and transfer to the lodge. The lodge is located in Farewell Harbour on Berry Island on 10 acres of beautifully forested land. Berry Island is within the border of world renowned Broughton Archipelago Marine Park, which is located between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia with Queen Charlotte Strait to the west and Knight Inlet to the east. Farewell Harbour is a beautiful protected anchorage along the famed inside passage route to Alaska.
Upon check-in at the lodge you are welcomed with a guest orientation and appetizers before joining an afternoon tour in search of marine wildlife in the waters of the famous Johnstone Strait and Robson Bight Ecological Reserve.
In the next two days you have the opportunity to discover this breath-taking and diverse environment on the following tours:
- Bear viewing adventure to one of the main grizzly viewing estuaries.
- Exploration of the incredibly rich waters of Johnstone Strait and the Robson
Bight Ecological Reserve. Orcas typically return to these waters mid July. Humpbacks and other marine life can often be seen in May and June
After breakfast, choose from one of the following options:
- A short morning sea kayak excursion in the protected and crystalline waters near Farewell Harbour Lodge
- A marine excursion
- Bear Viewing
After lunch, return to the lodge for your flight to Vancouver where your journey ends after 12 exciting days. Overnight Vancouver Airport
