Yukon Northern Lights Tour

Note: For constellation photography bring 35 mm SLR manual camera, ASA 400 film or faster, tripod and cable release.
You will depart from Vancouver Airport and begin your journey to Whitehorse. Upon arrival, transfer (included) from the airport to your hotel in downtown Whitehorse. The hotel is located within walking distance of all attractions, restaurants, banks and stores. After your arrival, there will be an information meeting, registration for optional tours, the fitting of winter clothing, before you can explore the shops and enjoy dinner on your own. This evening, depart for your first Aurora viewing. A cosy, heated cabin or wall tent with hot drinks and snacks will make this magical viewing even more enjoyable. Make sure you bring your camera to capture shot after incomparable shot. You will return to hotel around 2.00am.
After a late night, treat yourself to a lie in this morning – you deserve it! At 10.00am your city tour will begin. The tour includes all of Whitehorse’s key attractions including Main Street, the Train Depot of the White Pass and the Yukon Route, the Log Skyscraper, the Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, the fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas. This afternoon is free to relax before departing at 9.30pm for more Aurora viewing. Again, hot drinks and snacks are provided in a warm-up cabin. You can sit around a roaring fire and share stories with fellow travellers. Return to hotel around 2.00am.
Transfer (included) to Whitehorse airport for your return flight back to Vancouver. If you just can’t get enough of viewing the Northern Lights, why not extend your stay to 3 or 4 nights? Ask for details.
