Cosmopolitan Vancouver is Canada’s third largest city and one of the world's most livable cities. Situated right where the gorgeous western mountain peaks meet the beautiful green waters of the Pacific Ocean the grand deepwater harbor of Burrard Inlet is framed by the often snowcapped Coast Mountains.
To the west, the peaks of Vancouver Island rise over the waters of the Strait of Georgia, while to the south stands the giant Mount Baker of the U.S. Cascade Range.
There is  an array of things to do: festivals, live theatre, musical concerts, trendy nightlife venues, recreational activities and attractions.
Stanley Park is a magnificent park located near downtown Vancouver and is one of the greatest parks in the world. There is plenty of live art events such as the Dance at Dusk, which takes place in the summer months, the Painter’s Circle or the Theatre Under the Stars.
Landmarks are found everywhere around the park and can vary from simple totem poles to the extravagant Seawall that took over 60 years to complete.  The English Bay Beach is located on the other side of this wall. This beach has a volleyball court, BBQ’s and kayak rentals. There is an abundance of wildlife in Stanley Park and ecological monuments.
Vancouver has fantastic shopping and nightlife, Robson Street  is alive both in the day and night and many people can be seen coming in and out of the many boutiques found along the street, or by stopping and having lunch at a sidewalk café. At night, performers come out onto the street to perform.
Yaletown is the district dedicated to entertainment. It is a trendy place and is a short walk from downtown and has a lot of fashion and design shops.  Dining opportunities are found everywhere.
