Say hello to your Canada Specialists!

We are a boutique travel agency in the UK who have been creating tailor-made holidays to Canada for over 40 years.

We love all things Canada and believe that everyone should experience its beauty at least once in their life. It is home to striking landscapes, craggy coastlines, an abundance of wildlife, cosmopolitan cities, and fascinating history – and we are passionate about creating itineraries that allow our clients to experience Canada in a way that is convenient for them.

Located in Glasgow, our team has more than 40 years’ combined experience and have all travelled extensively through Canada ourselves (we even have a real-life Canadian on the team!). We also have a back-office team who maintain relationships with tourist boards, cruise lines, and other suppliers to make sure we are offering our clients a literally endless possibility of itineraries. Whether that’s a 10-night self-drive through Atlantic Canada, a relaxing trip on-board the Rocky Mountaineer, or an adventure to northern Manitoba to witness polar bears in the wild.

Meet the team

AnneMarie - Manager

Hi Anne Marie, tell us what you do at Canada Travel Specialists?

My passion for Canada helped me land my dream job here at Canada Travel Specialists. I am also very fortunate to lead an amazing team of like-minded individuals that are also passionate about travelling. We feel very honoured that we can inspire and shape our customers’ big trip or honeymoon, then have them come back and tell you how much they enjoyed it - it’s the best job in the world.

Tell us about your first trip to Canada?

My first trip was to Toronto and Niagara Falls, Toronto is such a hip and happening city with so much to do and see, my helicopter trip over the falls was just breath-taking.

Where is your favourite place in Canada?

It has to be Ottawa, Canada's capital. The city is steeped in culture, with lots of festivals, exciting nightlife and is also home to the world's largest outdoor skating rink.

Lastly, tell us a fun fact about yourself

My love for nature and the great outdoors lead me to my new found passion: wild water swimming around Britain's beautiful lakes and lochs.

Hannah - Senior Travel Consultant

Hi Hannah, tell us what you do at Canada Travel Specialists?

I am a Senior Consultant specialising in tailor-made tours all over Canada, I particularly specialise in wildlife-based itineraries and adventure cruising to Alaska due to my personal passion for these areas.

Tell us about your first trip to Canada?

I first visited Canada in 2014 when I visited Vancouver and Whistler. I was blown away by how clean Vancouver was for a large city and how friendly everyone was. I was also surprised by how lovely Whistler is to visit even out with the ski season, it's a perfect holiday destination any time of year.

Where is your favourite place in Canada?

I don't think that there is anywhere in Canada that I have visited that I didn't fall in love with immediately. However one of my favourite experiences was visiting La Reata, a working cattle ranch in Saskatchewan, horseback riding over the Saskatchewan Prairies at sunset is an experience I will never forget.

Anywhere else left on the bucket list?

Having a particular interest in wildlife and adventure-based itineraries I would love to visit the Yukon and Alaska for wildlife spotting and outdoor activities.

As well as working at the Canada Travel Specialists I am also currently studying for a Law degree at university.

Tell us about your first trip to Canada?

I travelled to the Canadian Rockies last year and got to see Banff and experience the Rocky Mountaineer in both Gold Leaf & Silver Leaf Service which was great!

Where is your favourite place in Canada?

My favourite place would have to be Vancouver as it's surrounded by water and mountains and you get to experience a large city without being too far from the countryside - best of both worlds!

Anywhere else left on the bucket list?

I would love to take a trip out to Vancouver Island to explore Victoria and the local wildlife.

Lastly, tell us something interesting about yourself?

I have been lucky enough through my job as well as personal holidays to travel extensively around the world gaining invaluable experience and trying lots of different cuisines that I never once thought I would eat!
